Yuiko Uto is a Brisbane-based Japanese artist, illustrator, and graphic designer whose practice is deeply rooted in personal emotion and introspection. Her work captures fleeting states of mind, translating them into delicate yet expressive faces and figures. Influenced by both her cultural background and her experiences navigating different emotional landscapes, Uto’s drawings exist in a space between memory and imagination, where interpretation remains fluid and meaning shifts. In this exhibition, she invites viewers to engage intuitively, allowing their own thoughts and senses to align with the rhythm of her evolving creative cycle.
