Davina Else

is a multidisciplinary artist exploring the intimate realms of personal experience, family dynamics, and the fragility of memory.

Raised in the Lockyer Valley, Queensland, Else draws inspiration from candid childhood photographs and everyday domestic moments. Through painting, Else captures the tender, often overlooked moments of family life – warm gestures, quiet rituals, and fleeting connections. Her creative process is a reflective journey, navigating the vulnerabilities and joys of growing up. Else holds a degree in Creative Arts from the University of Southern Queensland. Her paintings are characterized by nuanced storytelling, while her sculptural works embody a spirit of playfulness and experimentation. By sharing her inner world, Else invites viewers to reconnect with their own memories and emotions, fostering a sense of empathy and understanding.
